This is a music video directed by Saman Keshavarz. Awesome stuff. Actress is Darcy Ripley who also happens to be a brilliant artist herself. This video won SXSW  Best Music Video 2010 and featured on Saatchi & Saatchi’s New Director’s Showcase 2010. Well done Darcy! More credits on Vimeo.

This is the official Esther’s’ video directed by Charles De Meyer. Very nice CG integration and an interesting subtle style of animation! I would really like to see the composite files!

We decided to try something different, so leaving the world of animation and design for a brief moment, we went out and shot a “Road trip” video with the new MINI Countryman. This was a campaign for MINI that followed 4 friends and their adventures to the soccer world cup.
It was by no means an easy task, as we had to be super careful as this was the only MINI Countryman in South Africa. We shot 16 locations in 3 days. Enjoy the video below.

Thanks to MINI for letting us have so much fun and to Ukutula Lion Park for letting us play with the cutest lion cubs and serving the best lunch.

When you combine David Fincher, Blur and Dark Horse comics, prepare for some CGI horror yummyness!

The Goon is a comic book series created by Eric Powell in 1999. The story is about the adventures of the Goon, a muscle-bound brawler who claims to be the primary enforcer for the feared mobster Labrazio. The Goon (and his sidekick Franky) often get tied up in other machinations, often in relation to the evil zombie gangs under the command of the Nameless Zombie Priest. The series has a distinctly paranormal slant, with the average story concerning ghosts, ghouls, skunk-apes, extra-dimensional aliens, and mad scientists.

We created these characters for a client, but nothing happened so I thought instead of letting good art go to waste, lets share it with the world!

Luma Arcade has been getting a lot of attention regarding a tech demo that they developed in-house for Microsoft called the Harvest, which was used by Microsoft at GDC and MIX10 in San Francisco and Las Vegas earlier this month to promote the newly announced Windows Phone 7 Series. It was built on Luma’s in-house 3D rendering engine built on the XNA Game Studio 4.0 framework. The Harvest runs on what Microsoft is calling the ”Three Screens”, namely the Xbox360, Windows PC and the new Windows Phone 7 Series.
